Gorgeous day today, spent out on the Yough River in a kayak, and the drive home through Garrett County was georgeous, as always.
The fields have been freshly mown and the corn's as high as an elephant's eye.
Â
Catch a glimpse of the compacted bale being flung onto the cart:Â
Â
Thence to find its way to the awaiting silo; later to find its way into the belly of moo-cows.

Â
A nice frame for the eyes as well as the country yard.
Â
It may have been hot and sweltering in the last few weeks, but now is the time to get in wood for the old stove, as it needs to dry out and season to bring maximum warmth to your up-coming wintry body.

Â
But for now there still remain some blossoms named black for my brown-eyed spouse:

Â
The neighborhood is patriotic and the views are awesome:
Â

Â
All is well, for the most part. But indeed, there are pests also to be found. Tent catepillars galore are wrapped on branches, turning the leaves brown and leaving a cocoon of iridescent white.

Â
So let this be your impetus to submit your pictures. With all the digital cameras out there, surely you have some that will bring a bit of pleasure to us all.
Make them 6 x4 inches max in jpeg format.
Thanks.
