Frostburg State University’s second annual Frosty Awards in May showcased the most outstanding creativity and artistry in student communications over the past academic year. The event, which was hosted by the Department of Communication and the Creative Communication Club, presented awards in 10 categories.

Sofia Agüero Petros, an Argentine exchange student, received the Frosty for Best Music Video for her work, “Jaime Simon.”

Megan Coleman of Mount Airy, Md., received the Frosty for Poster/Flyer Design for her work, “Cruisin.”

Nate Hutchings of Harker Heights, Texas, received the Frosty for Promotional Video for his work, “The Purpose of Christmas.”

Trevor Jones of Baltimore, Md., received the Communication Studies “Civil Citizen Communicator” award.

Derrick Lee of Hagerstown, Md., received the Frosty for Best Audio Recording for his recording, “Anything for You.”

Dione Marshall of Fort Washington, Md., received the Frosty for Logo Design for creating the “Hey Cris Vlog” logo.

Katie McCartney of Pasadena, Md., received the Frosty for Promotional Photography for her work, “Begins With a Bottle.”

Samantha Politis of Gaithersburg, Md., and Abbey Rigney of Hampstead, Md., jointly received the Frosty for Best Short Film for their work, “Adoption: A Personal Narrative.”

Isaiah Sutton of Waldorf, Md., received the Frosty for Best Original Audio Composition for his work, “Ma-Ma’s Interlude.”

Emily Taylor of Millersville, Md., received the Frosty for Best Video Broadcast for her production on Allegany County Special Olympics’ Hooley Plunge fundraiser.
