Allegany County Residential Electronics Collection Event

for Recycling

Saturday, April 18, 2009

10 AM - 2 PM

at Frostburg State University

[in the parking lot on College Avenue across from Beall Elementary School]

 

NOTE:  Non-Residential (industrial, commercial, institutional, etc.) loads will not be accepted at this residential event.

Those groups should plan to participate in the collection event on Saturday, June 6, 2009 and must be pre-registered at least 48 hours in advance of the event with the Allegany County Department of Public Works.

 

For more information on either event or to pre-register, contact the Allegany County Department of Public Works / Recycling, Monday - Friday, from 8 AM - 4 PM at (301) 777-5933, ext. 210.

Fee Schedule:

  • $15.00 - Mainframe computers and floor model copiers.
  • $10.00 - Console TVs and TVs 32-inch (diagonal) and larger.
  • $5.00 - TVs smaller than 32-inch (diagonal) and Microwave Ovens.
  • $3.00 - Complete Computer Systems (CPU, keyboard, mouse, monitor).
  • $2.00 - Table top Copiers, Printers, and Fax machines; Computer Monitors, CPU, Laptops, Scanners, and Adding Machines; Stereo Electronics (except wooden speakers).
  • $1.00 - VCRs, Tape Players, Camcorders, Radios, Answering Machines, Electric Typewriters, Word Processors, and Transparency Makers.
  • FREE - Telephones, small Computer components (mouse, speakers, wiring, etc.), Cameras, Calculators, Cell Phones, Pagers, CD Players, and Uninterruptible Power Supply.
